The classic Balvenie is known as one of the few whisky distilleries in the world that grows its own barley – one of many examples of Balvenie’s focus on the craft of whisky. In several countries, awards have been given to recognize promising craftsmen. In Sweden, The Balvenie has undertaken a number of high-profile collaborations on the theme of craftsmanship.
Last fall, motorcycle builder Ida Olsson was commissioned to build The Balvenie Motorcycle, a Royal Enfield Continental rebuilt with inspiration from the world of whisky. The result, which our readers have already seen, was a stunningly beautiful motorcycle. For two years, they have also collaborated with Åre Skidfabrik to create The Balvenie Skis, handmade skis with American oak sides. Now it’s time again.
This time The Balvenie has teamed up with Swedish clothing brand Brixtol Textiles to create “The Balvenie Motorcycle Jacket”. Founded in 2011, Brixtol Textiles has become known for building on the classic British worker model while challenging convention.
The Balvenie Motorcycle Jacket is a classic MC-inspired jacket in waxed cotton, with lots of attention to detail. The classic model will work for many seasons to come. For more information, see the Brixtol Textiles website.
