A new boutique hotel will open next year at Tegnérlunden in Stockholm. The hotel will be the sibling of two of Stockholm’s best hotels, Hotel Diplomat and Villa Dagmar, which bodes well for the newcomer.
The aim is to open a personal and exclusive hotel “with the feel of an Italian town house”. The hotel is being built in a 1960s building that used to be Hotel Tegnérlunden, but has now been renovated by architect Per Öberg. Per Öberg has previously worked on Hotel Diplomat and Villa Dagmar, and also designed the Vana Spa concept for Elite Hotel.
The new hotel will have 103 guest rooms and suites, many of which will have stunning views of Tegnérlunden. The hotel will be well equipped with a restaurant, cocktail bar, spa, gym and boules court.
Tegnérlunden is a small but charming park on the border between Vasastan and Norrmalm, with mostly very beautiful buildings. If Per Öberg can overcome the originally rather boring 1960s hotel, this could be a really nice addition to Stockholm’s hotel world.
