Christmas traditions like mulled wine and eggnog are all well and good, but sometimes it’s nice to have variety. Hot pots are a new way to enjoy gin in the winter. Gin isn’t just a summer drink – it’s great for mixing Christmas drinks with gin.
The recipe for Mr. Micawber’s Hot Gin Punch comes from the book Drinking with Dickens by Cedric Dickens, great-grandson of Charles Dickens. It is inspired by Charles Dickens’ own recipe from 1850.
